FICTION WORKSHOP

A five-week workshop with peer and instructor feedback for writers working on a short story. All levels. Taught by Kevin Breen.

5 Sessions
Wednesdays 6:00-8:30pm

September 30
October 7
October 14
October 21
October 28

In this workshop, participants will hone their skills as literary citizens, both as writers sharing their work and readers providing valuable critique to their peers. Each week, two to three writers will receive feedback on their prose. Participants are expected to come prepared each week to provide feedback on the stories that had been distributed as homework.

Editor Kevin Breen will facilitate the workshop. Kevin's aim is to cultivate a workshop environment where each reader sharpens their editorial eye and the writer walks away feeling supported and advantaged by the critique provided. Good editors do their work within the guardrails set by the author, and that is a philosophy Kevin strives to apply to workshop.
