The focus of the workshop will be to provide in-depth and thoughtful feedback and critique to one unpolished poem of each member with the goal to ready the piece for publication, submission or getting closer to a “final draft.” In this workshop, participants will bring one poem to be workshopped by the group with two participants receiving feedback per week. Participants are expected to come prepared each week to provide feedback on the poems distributed as homework.
Instructor Claire has taught a popular Poetry Workshop at Browsers Bookshop and is looking forward to expanding this offering with OlyPages. Claire’s aim is to cultivate a workshop environment where the feedback points to a poet’s strengths and instincts while guiding toward a finished piece that deeply resonates with the reader. All forms of poetry are welcome.
