Note: this group meets every three weeks!
Being held accountable for our writing process is essential to reaching our writing goals. There are lots of adages out there about how to get the work done, but there is no magical perfect system. The key to a successful creative life, unironically, lies in being creative about approaching the work—and resilience. The ability to return to the work over and over again. The primary factor that influences one’s ability to be resilient? Connection.
We’ll meet every three weeks to set goals, cheer one another on, get input on where we feel blocked, and hopefully, feel less alone on this writing life endeavor.
The group will have a private online Slack group for support and motivation between sessions, and each member gets a 30-minute one-on-one session with Star for goal-review and feedback on up to a 25-page submission (includes a feedback letter). This workshop is appropriate for any writer who wants support with meeting their writing goals, but can be especially helpful for those working on book-length projects—novel, memoir, short story or essay collections.
